Congregation Beth Israel, Beth El Temple and The Emanuel Synagogue are thrilled to be hosting award-winning author, Joan Leegant, whose stunningly timely story collection, DISPLACED PERSONS, shines a light on American Jewish life and Israel, especially relevant in these times.  DISPLACED PERSONS has won the national New American Fiction Prize, chosen out of 500+ submissions. And Hadassah Magazine has selected DISPLACED PERSONS for their One Book, One Hadassah program, one of six books each year that they highlight for their 250,000 readers and book clubs across the country.
 
Joan is a passionate speaker who loves engaging with audiences. Come for an eye-opening conversation about the creative process and writing about Israel.
